In my soul searching I have considered that it might be the Democrats who are the fascists and I have decided that the Democrats are not being fascists. That you find my soul searching insufficient does not mean I have not done soul searching. I have not come to a new understanding that equals your understanding nor have you come to an understanding that equals mine. And I recognize your right to be who you are and consider you my neighbor.

I do find community with those whom I agree with. I do assume a moral high ground. I do find the 1619 Project to be brilliant and insightful. I have found Critical Race Theory to be useful in my understanding of race in America. I understand that you disagree with all of these things. And I recognize your right to be who you are and consider you my neighbor.
